"I made the comparison.
At the beginning I will add that I am an advanced audiophile, collector and lover of vinyls from Mofi.
One Step offers, as a rule, unique, best sound quality.
Unfortunately, this is not the case with this album.
First, the album is recorded quietly, which is surprising considering it is 45rpm. It is not true that Clapton's vocal is withdrawn. This is an apparent illusion of the fact that this album is devoid of his very expressive and resonant guitar, which we all know very well from earlier releases.
This release may only be liked by people who have a bright sounding set, for example equipped with Lyra cartridges. It is understandable to me, because I also have them. For such people, this One Step may be very appealing. Also for people who love warm analog sound. Paradoxically, I am also one of them. But not in this case.
When I retire and the life situation forces me to sell my collection, this album will be one of the first to be put on sale.
The expensive things are not always better."
